Specialized Pharmacy protects our drivers and keeps our community clean by using the safest, most fuel-efficient, and cleanest vehicles possible. We constantly evaluate ways to make our fleet even more efficient, such as diesel-hybrid, biodiesel, natural gas, and other fuel sources. Since we are delivering to so many places 24x7, it is more efficient to use our delivery than to drive yourself to any retail pharmacy.

What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is an EPA-approved fuel and diesel-fuel additive. When used as fuel, it is cleaner-burning and 100% renewable. It is manufactured from vegetable oils, like syobean oil, cottonseed oil, and canola (rapeseed) oil. It delivers just a bit less fuel economy than petro-diesel (e.g. 39 MPG vs. 42 MPG in test cars we've used in the past), but CO2 emissions are greatly reduced, and we support US agriculture rather than foreign oil interests.
